hyaluronic acid favorites 💦

when it comes to moisturizers, i love a basic one that will lock in moisture and provide hydrated and plump skin. i tend to reach for moisturizers with hyaluronic acid, so here are two i’d like to recommend:

🩵 neutrogena hydro boost gel cream extra dry

i know there’s the water gel type, which is a lighter version of this one, but both are essentially the same. i like to use this one in the winter or when the weather starts to feel dry because of it’s thicker consistency. even though i do have oily skin, this product does not contribute to excess oil production, so i like to use this at night as the last step of my skincare routine. the product is lightweight, yet thick enough to lock in moisture and produce added hydration to the skin. it blends in dewy, but it does dry down a little bit so you don’t have to worry about a greasy look.

💜 glow recipe plum plump hyaluronic cream

this product calls itself a cream, but the texture is more of a jelly-like or gel-like consistency. it’s super lightweight and blends easily with a lot of slip on application. it leaves a dewy finish, but i don’t feel greasy and it doesn’t have a heavy feel on the skin. this moisturizer does have a slight fragrance, but nothing too overbearing for me (then again, consider this if you are sensitive to fragrance!). i would prefer to use this product in the morning because of how light it is and the fact that it also works well under makeup.
