So I tried for over eight years to have a baby and yet nothing happened. I went to a specialist to see what was going on. after the Specialist ran all their test on me. He said to me well with your age and your health as it is I honestly don’t see this happening for you. This truly devastated me and broke my heart . So for several months, I decided to work on myself. I worked out I dieted and I ended up dropping 80 pounds. I see a change in my body, but my menstrual cycle changed. I took a home pregnancy test. In fact I took several pregnancy test and they all came out positive. I went to the doctor told me that I would never have a child and told him if I am pregnant then there is something seriously wrong with me. so he took his own test and once everything was figured out, I was two months pregnant. I cried but tears of joy. I finally got to be the mother I knew I always could be. There is much difficulty during this pregnancy. I ended up getting gestational diabetes so poking my finger checking my sugar levels taking met Forman trying to diet trying to eat everything that I needed to eat when it was finally time to go to the hospital I was in labor for two days. They even induced me into labor, but my son set up house inside and he didn’t want to come out so they had to go after him at this point. I was already so very tired and exhausted. And because he wouldn’t come out naturally, they had to do a C-section and bring him out into this world which I wish they would’ve done in the first place instead of watch me be in labor and pain for two days. When I heard that little cry, everything that I went through was well worth it and when I saw his face, I met the love of my life very big, healthy baby boy he weighed 10 pounds blue eyes can’t see in the pictures, but he ended up having blonde hair. We were hospitalized for two weeks his sugar levels and my sugar levels need to be regulated and they need to make sure that we were OK. Looking back at everything now, God bless me when he thought it was time for me to be blessed and I believe the timing is perfect. I gave him a very special name. My brother passed away 25 years before my son was born and I was his baby. He took me everywhere and took care of me and I had not heard his name in this world for such a long time so I gave him his first name his middle name, his last name and his birth father‘s last name, it was the right thing to do and I know that there is a big purpose for my son besides the fact that he gives me the strength to not give up and to fight for everything every day and never give up.

He doesn’t know it but he is my super hero and given my 89 year mom a reason to live a little longer . #lateinlifemom #Gestationaldiabetes.
