YOUR academic weapon era 🫵📚💪🏻

hi everyone!!! o levels just started so i wanted to share with everyone my journey in secondary school now that i’ve graduated jc 💌

i entered my sec sch (and even jc) via dsa so i always thought i “faked” my way or just got lucky.. and it was evident in my first 2 years of secondary school that i didn’t do very well considering the fact that many of my friends were scoring straight a’s 🥲 at one point i remember my teachers talking to me about dropping to N(A) or to take combined science instead :( nothing wrong or bad about those but i didn’t want to!

in sec 3 i started to work a bit harder and pay attention in lessons, but i still always struggled with my science and math subjects.. i only did well in history because it was my favourite subj! so i always worked hard for it 🤣🤣 i slowly started to improve!! js my chem was still horrible

the fear started to kick in in sec 4 when i realised i was taking my o levels… i was really scared about not being able to enter in a jc because i didn’t want to go poly (i didn’t know what course i wanted to take LOL) i started to work hard, and seek help!! my friends would always patiently explain stuff to me which i’m still very grateful for 🤍🤍

i improved a lot and in o levels i managed to get l1r5 nett 6!!! which i was quite happy with at the end of the day considering how much i improved. i got the principal’s award at my secondary school for students who improved academically and had cca contributions (?) also & even went back to my sch to talk to the juniors this year!! 🥲🥲

i js wna say to all those taking o’s this year that it will all turn out ok~~ js keep giving your best!!
