If youโre thinking to develop your film in Seoul, this is YOUR SIGN. During my recent trip to Seoul, I visited Filmlog to develop my completed film rolls as well as to pick up some new rolls โ Hereโs how it went! ๐ธ๐
Filmlog is located near Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, but it was lowkey difficult to find it at first as it was kinda tucked in between the streets. (Of course, it wasnโt too bad with the help of Naver Maps/Moovit ๐ซก) We knew we were at the right place when we saw the iconic Filmlog vending machine! ๐
They had a variety of different types and sizes of film rolls (some of which were not available in Singapore), film cameras, merch, and other film related products! They even had their own brand of disposable film cameras, which is pretty dope.โจ
If youโre indecisive like me, they have a catalog of photos taken with different types of disposable film cameras, or even sample photos of each film roll that they offer to help you choose! ๐ธ๐๐ผ
The staff there speaks really fluent English so do not worry if you cannot speak Korean! They were also super helpful and patient with our enquiries ~
๐ท๏ธ Price:
The prices were quite reasonable, film rolls were priced at standard rates, and they had a variety of options, so I decided to go with a roll that I had never seen before in Singapore โ 17,000 won
Their film developing service was also quite affordable, at around 10,000 won or less (canโt remember the exact amount), and I also purchased a battery for my film camera for 8,000 won! ๐๐๐ผ
โฐ Waiting Time:
The process was pretty straightforwardโ I simply needed to provide my email address and Singapore contact number, and they sent me the photos digitally via email. ๐ง๐ฒ
The wait time was about 3-5 days. If you're still around, you can return to collect your negatives!! However, because we were leaving Seoul, I didnโt manage to return to collect the negatives. ๐ฅฒ
๐ The results:
I didnโt have much expectations, but gurl i was in awe when I saw how the photos turned out.. ๐ As you can see, the quality is really amazing, imo better than the previous rolls that I developed in Singapore. ๐ซข
๐๏ธ Film roll: Kodak Ultramax 400
๐ธ Camera: Fuji Work Record
If youโre in Seoul, I highly recommend you to visit Filmlog to develop your films! ๐ However do note they only open from 1pm-6pm, so plan your itinerary well!! We went before they opened and had to pass time around the area.. ๐ฌ
