I finally finished this book last night and would love to share my thoughts with you guys.

Now, I have mixed emotions about this book — while it was creepy, engaging and also emotionally touching at some points, I do feel like it took a while for the writer to get there.

That being said, I quite liked how it explored the depth of the main characters relationship with her mum and dad, despite her dad… doing what he did, (Trying my best to not write any spoilers) but it definitely depicts what it’s like to love a monster and the need for their constant validation.

This book definitely paints out a gore-y, haunted vision as I read it, enough to get me paranoid in real life alone in bed at night so if that’s the vibe you’re looking for, then pick this book up!
