Cinnamon Sugar Cream Cheese Cookies
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup butter, softened
- 4 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- splash of vanilla
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
For the cinnamon sugar coating:
- sugar
- cinnamon
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, beat the butter and cream cheese until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
2. Add in the powdered sugar, and beat again.
3. Add the egg and vanilla, and mix until combined.
4. Gradually add the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt directly into the bowl with the wet ingredients. Mix everything together until just combined.
5. Place the entire bowl with the dough into the freezer for 10-15 minutes to firm up.
6. In a small bowl, whisk together the sugar and cinnamon for the coating.
7. Once chilled, roll the dough into balls and then roll them in the cinnamon sugar until fully coated.
8. Place the cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 375°F for 8-9 minutes. The bottoms will be golden.
9. Cool on a wire rack and enjoy!
