Day Trip to Galena, IL!

My boyfriend and I took a day trip to Galena, IL on Sunday (8/12/23)! We started at the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium in Dubuque, then traveled to Galena and visited the West Street Sculpture Park (highly recommend). We went shopping around town, saw the Thunder Bay Falls, then headed back to Dubuque to visit the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens (also highly recommend). We ended the day on the Mississippi Riverwalk and a dinner at Vinny Vanucchi's before heading home. Our last stop was watching the meteor shower (where I may or may not have fallen asleep for a bit lol). I head off to college this week and we’ll start long distance again, so this was an amazing date day! ❤️
