Traveling great ocean road? Book this cottage!

Backstory for this cottage - I saw it on tiktok and it was love at first sight!! I literally planned my entire roadtrip around this cottage because I was set on staying at least one night. However, I wasn’t able to find a lot of information on it but no regrets staying here because this was literally one of my favourite stop on our great ocean road trip. I still think about it from time to time 💗

Pros:

❀ the views!!! they are absolutely breathtaking, you can view the sunset/sunrise/stars unobstructed from your bed & there’s also a patio outside which you can view the entire farm from

❀ it comes with a working fireplace!!!

❀ super peaceful and healing for the soul

❀ it comes with a outdoor bbq that we didn’t get to use because we arrived too late & it was dark + too cold

❀ fully functional kitchen with basics stocked

❀ it’s huge! accommodates 4 people

❀ super clean

❀ overlooks a sheep farm, based on reviews you can request to visit in the daytime

❀ the host was really friendly

❀ it’s only $250?! I would’ve happily paid way more

Cons:

❀ you will definitely need to rent a car to reach this place

❀ obscure location

❀ no nearby supermarkets

Tips:

❀ Stay more than one night!!! I regretted only staying one night. Especially since it was raining that night and the next day so I was really sad because it was foggy. Views were still incredible though despite the fog

❀ Plan your drive properly! We took longer than expected as we dropped by a supermarket to pick up groceries and missed the sunset ☹️ although we still managed to see it on the drive up but I bet it would’ve been a lot better from the cottage

❀ Pick up your supplies before heading here

Another thing, we visited during winter which was incredibly cold and foggy so you might want to visit during other seasons to better enjoy the cottage. Maybe not summer though, otherwise it might be too hot to utilize the fireplace!
