You should go to the Singapore Art Museum (free)

I finally got to go the museum and I was so happy!! I haven’t been to a museum for a few months so it’s nice to look at some art again.

I didn’t know that the Singapore Art Museum (SAM) is located by the shipping containers until I went there. That’s quite interesting.

Students get to go to the museum for free as long as you can show a form of ID. There are two galleries! All my photos are taken in the 1st gallery itself. It’ll probably take you a maximum of 2 hours if you do everything I did in the museum.

The first photo is my favourite artwork! It’s an interactive piece and you get to flip the “window” to ‘wash’ away the earth looking planet; which by the way, actually looks like you’re looking out of a window into space! The artwork is projected onto a second wall behind the window so there seems to be some depth instead of just a digital screen.

We finished off the museum trip by making our own emojis. They look like cursed images but they’re cute.
