Don’t do your nails in Bali unless…

I go to Bali every year and this was the first time that I did my nails there. It was an experience to say. I know that Bali spas probably wouldn’t be able to do your nails like the typical nail salons in Singapore, even though they provide that service. So I thought perhaps I’d find a salon that specialises in manicure. I found one via Instagram which had a following of over >10k, so I thought it’d work. Was it #WorthIt ? Hmmmm. I’m nit-picking in this post because I want to give an honest review so let me know if it’s worth the money!

I sent them pictures of the design that I wanted via whatsapp prior to making an appointment. They said that they could do it and hence I booked.

However, during the appointment, I realised that the manicurist was not confident. I gave up trying to explain how to paint the designs on my nails mid session and just gave in to the inevitable 😅 The finished product wasn’t awful but it definitely does not look similar to the reference pictures. The lines are wonky and do not look deliberate.

Even though I was quite disappointed, it wasn’t too expensive. I paid $20+ and it included cuticle care as well. I would still suggest going there for a simple gel manicure as it is cheaper than what you can get in Singapore! But keep your expecatations low if you want designs 😗
