Sickle Cell Disease doesn't care

It doesn't care how many times you've been to the ER this week. Doesn't care that your son doesn't want another "poke." It doesn't care how much he screams or tries to reason with the nurses. It doesn't care how it makes you feel as a mom to have to physically restrain your son while he begs and pleads with you to not get blood drawn and set up his IV line for meds. It doesn't care about the fact the by product of debilitating anxiety my 6 year old has developed around medical professionals.

Nope. It doesn't care at all.
