Affordable Korean noodles in ice?! ❄️🍜

Introducing #MyGoTo Korean restaurant in Tanjong Pagar, Noodle Star K! 🍜 This Korean restaurant is famous for its Naengmyeon, a cold noodle soup dish that comes with ice! ❄️ Although it might seem odd to have ice in your soup, it's surprisingly tasty and a must-try for any adventurous foodie.

The restaurant is a short 5-minute walk from Maxwell MRT station, but be prepared to wait if you go during peak hours. However, the staff is efficient and the turnover rate is fast, so you won't have to wait too long. ⏰

The Naengmyeon comes in four variations, and my girlfriend and I opted for the non-spicy Mul Nangmyeon, which cost $16.80 each. The noodles were delicious, but we were disappointed that there was only one piece of meat in the dish. 🍜🥩 The mustard and vinegar on the side were a nice touch, and you can adjust the taste to your liking. We were also a bit disappointed that the ice had already melted by the time the dish arrived, but overall it was still a great dish worth trying. 👍

We also tried the Gogi Mandu, which are meat dumplings that come in a set of 5 for $10.80. These were my favourite dish of the night, with each dumpling being generously filled and perfectly complemented by the sauce. They also offer Kimchi Mandu if you prefer something different. 🥟👌

As with any Korean restaurant, Noodle Star K also offers complimentary side dishes, including kimchi, pickles, and beansprouts. The free-flow pork bone broth soup was also a pleasant surprise and full of flavour, even though it was complimentary. While the number of side dishes offered could have been more generous, overall it was a great dining experience. 🍲😋

If you're a fan of Korean cuisine or looking for something new to try, Noodle Star K is definitely worth a visit. Their Naengmyeon and Gogi Mandu dishes are must-tries, and the free-flow side dishes and broth soup are a nice bonus. Just be prepared to wait during peak hours!
