Is the Chateraise buffet worth it??

Hi zesties!

Heres my brutally honest review of the viral 20$ (now 25 btw 💀💀) chateraise desserts buffet.

I went on a Tuesday afternoon but it was already relatively crowded and we arrived slightly earlier than our booking time so they sat us outside. Not sure if this was due to when we went but the selection was really underwhelming… (slide 2 for proof) NOT TO MENTION THE DRINKS oh my days… we wanted the white peach smoothie but they said they didnt have it so we went for a hojicha and matcha latte and oh my god did they taste AWFUL. The matcha was downright horrendous and so so bitter I felt like I was drinking powder raw. The hojicha was slightly better but still abysmal…

Out of all the desserts we selected.. only the cream fruit cakes were good ( in my humble opinion at least), and we only went back for seconds for those so it wasn't even much of a buffet… And we saved our stomach for this too…. 🫥🫥

OK I MUST SAY ONE REDEEMING FACTOR ABT THIS WHOLE… DISASTER was the soft serve… or rather the soft serve toppings LOL. The fresh fruits were so so good we went for more soft serve just to get more of the fruits💀 but they were really fresh and yummy. The soft serve was alright… an interesting flavour! Some butter? cultured butter?? idk smth to do with butter you can taste a slight tinge of it and it got a little jelak towards the end.

OVERALL WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! I was so disappointed bc I love Chateraise cakes and their ice creams and everything but their selection was just… not their best. Many people didnt go back for round two either and this was TWENTY-FIVE dollars 😩💸broke poly student cannot afford… will not be going back.. I rather spend 25$ on their regular cakes 🥲🥲
