There’s many MANY MANY different costume rental shops etc at Lijiang and many other parts of China!! Cause the domestic tourists LOVE to do this!!

Generally, there’s 2 types of packages

1. Costume rental + makeup & hair

2. Package 1 + photographer

3. Package 2 + car / driving services

Reasons why I chose Package 1:

- Was with my sister, so she could help me take photos!

- I didn’t really wanna spend time ONLY taking photos so actually me and my sis played and shopped around while we travelled to different locations to take photos

Other tips:

- Like I mentioned, there’s THOUSANDS of these kind of shops. So especially for Package 2 & 3 compare what they provide you in the packages.

- E.g. how many photos they are gonna pass you (they might not pass all), how many photos they gonna edit and pass you

- Package 3 is not really relevant for Lijiang (but more for Dali / Shangri-la) they would drive you to different destinations to take photos

- For Lijiang, just stay in 丽江古城 it’s enough for you to take the whole day already… 😀

Choosing a shop:

- I actually did a lot of research online esp XHS but honestly in the end, I just chose the place that was relatively closer to my accoms 😀 called 柒月

- ‼️ Not all shops provide Package 1

- But if they do, it’s usually around 88RMB per person

- However, the shop I chose was 168RMB per pax. We stuck with it anyway since we looked at the reviews on XHS and 大众点评 and it was not bad.

- It didn’t look like the 88RMB shops were worse tbh so idk if I regretted HAHAHA

Ultimately, I think it’s still a relatively affordable experience for Singaporeans so 100/100 would recommend!!!!
