Insomnia got the best of me during the second trimester. As the belly has grown it definitely has made it harder to get some 💤
A few things that have helped me:
Sound Machine-I love sound machines. I have a portable one that I take on overnight trips.
Pregnancy Pillow- a friend gave me this one and it has worked wonders since my second trimester. 🛌
Magnesium-I love this stuff. It comes in different forms too, my favorite has been bath salt. Sometimes I’ll add lavender essential oils to the bath for a more calm and spa like vibes 🛁
Skullcap Tincture- this was recommended by my midwife and it’s crazy how much this stuff worked. It even worked on my husband. It’s super great for pregnancy because it’s not a hormone disrupter. 🤗
Tart Cherry 🍒- most people use this already because it really does work
Eye Mask- I really love the one I have. It has carved-like eye holes that don’t make my eyelashes squished up in the morning. IYKYK
Most of these things I used even before being pregnant. I even take some things on overnight trips with me, lol. It’s funny how I’ve gotten older and prioritize sleep. I’m anxious to see how my sleep routine will change with a newborn 😅
