Is the loop earplugs WORTH it ??

i have been considering these loop earplugs for quite a while (been sitting in my cart for ~1 year??) and I finally carted it out 5-6 days (3.3 sales) before TAYTAY concert 🫣 and thankfully I received it 1 day before the concert CLUTCHH 😚

I got the loop experience in midnight sapphire and the casing colour is in such a pretty gradient 😍

• there are mainly 3 types: quiet, experience, engage

• with 3 other variations: experience/engage plus (with mute) & switch (can use all 3 types)

so the experience is marketed as suitable for concerts & events, as well as for productivity - noise reduction of -18dB (for the plus it will be another -5dB)

👍 I think it does protect your ears (especially if you are in the pits). I was very glad I had these on when the crowd was screaming - it's pretty deafening 🤭

👍 I could hear her well, but the backtrack was softer so I guess it's a personal preference? for some songs I plugged it out a little so that i can bask in the vibes

👍 technically I could also hear myself as well (my bro said that i was whispering to him at some point - in a concert - ooops 😅)

👎 however, maybe it's the area I was in (there wasn't alot of hyped fans) so with the earplugs, I could barely hear the crowd 😞 so it kinda killed the vibes a little :(( but heard pretty good reviews of this, so maybe if you are in the nearer cats/standing pit, you could probably still hear them through the plugs - just muffled

it was also my very first concert experience sooo I was pretty kiasu and wanted to be prepared for it 😋

I also tried this on the bus and i think it's pretty decent. it blocks out the loud engine noise and also if people are talking loudly - especially when you are trying to catch a nap in the morning 😴 you will still be able hear the bell but it's muffled

I think if you don't really/want to listen to music at work as it can get distracting but yet want to focus on your work, this could be a good use of the loop

I used this at work to drown the chatters around but yet I will still know when people call for me in the office - compared to using the earpiece with blasting music which i will not know that people are calling for me

if you are someone who's quite sensitive to noise, I would recommend getting the loop or something similar 👍 it's probably easier to use than the foam earplugs (I saw how my bro struggled with it at the concert 😅) and there isn't really an occlusion for this (or at least it wasn't that bad) edit: there's more occlusion when you're indoor

but if all kind of noise can be white noise to you, then you probably don't need this 😂

as for me, it's a good to have - I can see myself reaching for it when I need to drown some noise out (i think my tolerance to noise is quite high?) and also for future concerts 💫

I also got the additional mutes from Shopee - much cheaper than the actual ones (additional $10+) and it seems to work similarly + more colours to choose from
