My custom engagement ring

When choosing my engagement ring, I wanted to make sure I found a small business preferably woman owned that was sustainably sourced.

I found it in Jane Pope Jewelry. My ring is a 2.86 ct Colombian emerald in a cushion cut setting. The band is textured in a “twig” style with a 1.88 width.

Some tips for those just getting engaged, try to find a jeweler near you so you can on different rings and decide what you really want before you commit. If you decide on a jeweler across the country (like me), make sure you get sized beforehand! A lot of jewelers will resize at no additional cost or compare your sizing with another ring. And ask as many questions as you need to!
