I have been focused on solely running for over 12 weeks because I was training for my race, but now that my 25k race is over I have been trying to train hybrid.
HYBRID TRAINING: hybrid training program consists of a combination of compound strength movements and running or cycling
Here is one day of my hybrid training that I do to train legs/glutes and run at the same time.
First thing I do at the gym is run 3 miles on the treadmill at 6.0 speed with zero incline.
Next I get into my lifts strength training for legs mainly focused on glutes. I start with squats on the squat rack for 3 sets of 10 reps. Next I do RDLS with the same bar at the squat rack for 3 sets of 10 reps.
Next I get onto the hip thrust machine and do 3 sets of 10 reps. Lastly, I grab a block and push it against the wall for stability on my step ups which I do 3 sets of 10 reps per leg.
