family bonding: laser tag under $15👀🔫

looking for some fun bonding activities to do with your family this weekend? this post is for you😉 

last weekend, to celebrate fathers’ day, my family and i went to laser quest at hometeamNS bukit batok. laser quest is an indoor laser tag game taking place within an enclosed, controlled environment. you can choose to go for 1, 2 or 3 rounds of game-play and we opted for 3 rounds, costing us $13/pax

❣️we went in a group of 7 pax and we thought that by booking a timeslot, we could have the area for ourselves and we would only play amongst ourselves. however, i was wrong… the entire place is open to public which means that you will have to play with whoever who booked the same timeslot as us!😅 if you’re not comfortable with playing with complete strangers, either go in a group of around 14-20 pax or choose another activity to do like playing board games which they offer there too🎲

❣️the playing area is rather big and it’s definitely big enough for large groups of >15 pax. however, do note that since it is laser tag, the game area is rather dark and the only things lit up are the glow in the dark borders of the barricades in the room. if you have night blindness, this might be a slight issue for you to take note too😰 regarding safety, do be assured that players are not allowed to run around (it’s a rule)!!! trust me, although you can’t run around, it is a lot more exciting than it sounds HAHA🤭

❣️before you begin your quest, you will each be assigned a vest and a laser gun! personally, the gun was quite heavy for me and i was so tired after the first round of game-play HAHAH not sure if i’m weak but the rest of my family shared the same sentiments too🫢 if you are considering to go with elderlies or small children, they might not enjoy it that much because they will definitely struggle during the game and it might be a little demoralising☹️

❣️next, you might be wondering how the game works😛 the staff actually determines the type of game play, such as individual battle or team battle! since we had 3 rounds of game-play, we experienced 1 time of individual game and twice of the group game. i preferred the group one more because it’s more challenging when you got to find the right people to aim, instead of just aimlessly shooting anyone and everyone🔫 

overall, i definitely had fun playing with my family because it’s rare that we get to participate in such physical activities together which is suitable for people of most ages. however, it was a little disappointing when my mum’s laser gun wasn’t working for 1 game and she had to sit out… nonetheless, i would say it isn’t a very pricey activity but would i go again? i doubt so! there are probably other activities we can do as a family that can cost less than $13/pax🥰 i think visiting once is enough for us~ if you haven’t gotten the chance to visit before, i would highly recommend you guys to check it out at least once, but it would be even better if you guys can go in a big group, maybe for a corporate event or birthday party?
