discover PERTH: rottnest island🇦🇺

are you travelling to perth or is planning to visit perth soon? becuase if you are, ROTTNEST ISLAND is a MUST VISIT for tourists or locals.

to get there, you can take the rottnest express, which is a 30 minutes cruise ride there. it is a short walk from the nearest train station and it’s definitely super convenient! the overall trip there was fuss-free as we got our rottness express tickets beforehand.

upon arriving at the island, i found that there are a lot of people who rent bicycles to cycle around the island and you can consider doing that too if you want! however, we just had a walk around the island before boarding the rottnest adventure cruise, which was the HIGHLIGHT of my trip🌟 i would highly recommend you to try this out when you’re there! it brings you around the island in their adventure boat and while it might be quite fast, windy and bumpy, it was SO FUN! thrilling but not too scary and i think kids are able to ride it too🥹 otherwise, i think there is a bus option for you to take if you want to tour around the island.

after the adventure cruise, we decided to grab a bite at DOME and the food was pretty good but as usual, prices of food in perth can be pretty steep! 2 mains and 2 drinks costed about 70SGD. there are a few food options there like subway or bakery too🍞

while getting around the island, you might bump into quokkas (rottnest island’s signature animal). they are so small, furry and cute AHHH almost like a mix of kangaroo, a rat and a koala HAHA they are not afraid of humans but PLEASE DO NOT FEED THEM! you can approach them to take photos but avoid touching them~~ since i loved the quokkas so much, i got the quokka plushie from the souvenir store and it was around 20 SGD!

overall, i had a lot of fun at the rottnest island and i spent about half a day there. you should definitely add it to your itinerary, especially the adventure cruise!
