watami has more than 600 stores in around Asia, serving affordable Japanese meals that range from ramen to udon, various grilled fish, sashimi, and rice bowls.

upon arriving, you’ld need to scan a qr code to get a queue number! there are quite a few seats at the star vista outlet so thankfully wait time was not too long for me☺️

if you’re a student, you can get to enjoy their student promotion, which is priced at $9.90 for a main and a drink. i chose their red ramen, alongside a cup of iced milk tea.

in their ramen, there’s two pieces of seaweed, half an egg and a piece of meat. in the broth, i could see a generous amount of garlic pieces but it wasn’t too garlic-y😮‍💨 to me, it wasn’t a spicy and i think non-spicy eaters would be able to enjoy this bowl of ramen comfortably. otherwise, they have the white option too👍🏻

the iced milk tea was quite sweet and i really love it🫶🏻 nothing too special, but it definitely is a decent cup of iced milk tea.

even if you are not a student, you can enjoy many of their mains for $9.90 only! there’s curry rice, beef udon, ramen, dons etc and their entire menu is very affordable. the iced milk tea ala carte is priced at $2.90 too if you’re curious🤤

i would definitely go back again because the food tastes decent and it’s very affordable🤑 ambience was okay too!!
