WHY I CHOSE TO STAY AT COLLEGE

This Summer, I had the opportunity to be an Orientation Peer Advisor at James Madison University. I was tasked with helping new students and their families navigate their transition to college. This meant that I would spend most of my summer at JMU. At first I was a little nervous only because home for me is 3+ hours away which meant that I probably wouldn’t go home at all. However, I do not regret my decision at all. I met some incredible people who are now most definitely lifelong long friends, I gained skills that will help me forever, and most importantly, I found a new passion for student affairs that I didn’t even think about prior to this experience. I am beyond happy that I got to experience this!!
