Products for the Perfect Base

I have tried many products for my makeup routine and I have found a current rotation that makes my base look flawless.

I start with the Elf Power Grip Primer. The consistency of this is amazing, it is thin but you can feel it stick to your skin and almost feel tacky until it dries. I feel that it evens out my skin and creates the perfect blank canvas and also provides grip for my foundation.

When the primer is dry I apply the Makeup by Mario Foundation. This is my favorite foundation ever. It is not heavy and cakey but it creates a full coverage base that feels not too matte but not shiny. If I am doing a lighter makeup lookI like to mix it with a moisturizer and this creates a beautiful finish.

I don't see many people talk about this product online, but I swear by Glossier Wowder. This powder is pigmented but not too harshly, and this makes it perfect for setting your foundation. I like to bake under my eyes with Wowder as well as set my T zone.

The last step for my perfect base is Mac Fix+ Stay Over. This is one of the only setting sprays that I have really liked, it doesn't have a strong smell and it holds my makeup on all day long.
