what I ate at a Korean wedding 🥢💍

I attended my dear friends’ wedding last weekend, and boy was the food spread INCREDIBLE! The bride is Korean, and she served some of the best homestyle Korean food I’ve ever had in my life after the ceremony!

🍱 𝗸𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗽 (korean sushi rolls): the festivities kicked off with these colorful and flavorful rolls. filled with a variety of ingredients like pickled vegetables, egg, and marinated beef, they were a delightful fusion of taste and texture.

❄️ 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲: the array of cold dishes was a testament to korea's rich culinary heritage. from the tangy kick of kimchi to the earthy goodness of braised mushrooms, each dish was a symphony of flavors.

🍢 𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗼𝗸𝗯𝗼𝗸𝗸𝗶 (korean rice cakes): these chewy rice cakes bathed in a spicy, savory sauce were a hit! a true comfort food that added a pleasant kick to the celebration.

🍖 𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗯𝗶𝗷𝗷𝗶𝗺 (korean braised short ribs): a centerpiece of the feast, these succulent, tender short ribs were braised to perfection. the balance of sweet and savory in the sauce made them irresistible.

🍝 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮 & 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗱: a delightful fusion of korean and western flavors, the pasta & citrus salad provided a wonderful contrast to the richness of the other dishes.

It was a memorable feast that brought people together to celebrate love and new beginnings.
