Self Help Must Have Book - All About Love

Again, friendly reminder that I am in therapy & use this and other books as an additional tool in my healing & growth journey.

This book was a gift from one of my best friends to me for my birthday. She knows how much I struggle with love - external but also self love. Even after she gave it to me I waited YEARS to finally read it & I’ll never thank her enough for such a beautiful gift!

Being able to learn through Bell’s perspective what love is & isn’t was incredibly helpful. The tough parts are looking back to your childhood and acknowledging where love was lacking & how that’s carried into now. Defining love as an action also just makes so much more sense to me than an emotion or something passive.
