So what exactly is underpainting?
Underpainting is the makeup technique of applying face makeup underneath your foundation.
Usually, you apply cream products of contour, blush, highlighter, and concealer.
I skipped the concealer but did everything else. Underpainting creates a more seamless, diffused look while still being sculpted and glowy. It’ll look natural, like you were born blushed and with those cheekbones.
I like to apply the products heavily, so it’ll show a bit more through the foundation. Now that I look like a clown, I know it’s time for foundation. A light coverage foundation is recommended so you don’t completely lose the cream products. I like to use a light, glowy foundation to really keep up with the “skin but better” look. Blend this out with a beauty blender to really get everything looking blurred.
You can apply more products on top but I prefer not to. Apply your favorite mascara or lashes, and lippies and you’re good to go!
