3 Things in my kitchen ✨that just make sense✨

When we were designing our kitchen, of course I got lots of inspo from pinterest. Here are 3 things we were able to incorporate that just make sense.✨

1. A built-in paper towel holder + drawer

I thought this was such a good idea to have because it helps minimize the amount of things we have on the counters which is one of my goals. I love that it’s easy access and super easy to put in/remove the paper towel roll when needed. We also purposely got it placed in our island and right next to the sink, which is where we’ll probably be needing paper towels most.

Another thing we kept in mind was that the paper towel roll wouldn’t take up the entire space of a drawer, so we asked them to make the back side a space where we could keep extra rolls and/or little towels.

2. A spice rack

I thrive off of organization, so this was a request I made to keep the spices easy access and organized. We also strategically designed it next to the stove so we have exactly what we need at arms reach when cooking.

3. A microwave drawer

This was actually my husband’s suggestion and I’m not gonna lie, I was a little unsure of it at first. My main concern was safety when it comes to kids, but it could also end up being convenient for when they’re old enough to use it.

Ultimately, what convinced me to go with this option was that, again, it helps minimize clutter on the counters, it’s short people friendly, and it’s so much easier to clean because you can easily see inside.
