Everyone knows how cheap JB is in comparison to Singapore but, what blew my mind was how little I spent in a day and for all the things we ate!! These are some of our favorite spots that we frequent whenever we take a trip out to JB.

Places we went to in Johor Bahru🧭:

1. K Fry Urban Korean (SGD$15)

Located nearby KSL mall, this restaurant is in Holiday Villa JB City Centre. We ordered all 3 types of rice balls and they rolled them right in front of us! All of us also ordered drinks, 2 plates of chicken wings and jjajangmyeon. Was definitely super worth it and yummyyyy 🤩 Just look at that cheese stretch in the 3rd pic!!

2. Avery-Day (SGD$3)

This is literally the most aesthetic convenience store I’ve EVER seen. Its right across from KSL Mall so it’s the best place to hang out after some shopping. It’s such a cute place to take pics giving that almost “Greek” vibe and pastel colors. It’s got tons of Japanese snacks and drinks but strangely, their chicken nuggets are CRAZY GOOD?!?! 😋

3. Da Cheng Lok Lok KSL (SGD$7)

Lok lok is an absolute MUST whenever we’re in JB and there’s definitely no shortage of it. This particular outlet is one of our go-to’s as it’s conveniently right down the street from Avery-Day and KSL Mall. The sticks are only RM1 each?! Crazy good.

4. Lazy Monday HQ (SGD$8)

We took a cab down to this cafe that had delicious lattes, frappes but mainly because my friends wanted to shisha! No alcohol is served here though but they had tons of shisha flavors and really yummy drinks. Very affordable as well!

5. Merah Kitchen & Bar (SGD$12.50)

Since Lazy Monday doesn’t sell booze, we decided to head to another place for drinks. I’m not kidding when I tell you that we actually walked from this bar to the checkpoint 😂 That’s how close it is! I absolutely LOOOOVEEE the interior of this bar. They had a section built like an arcade, even the restroom mirrors were super aesthetic and they had plenty of photo spots with sunset lamps.

Total spent 🤑: $45.50
