If you want to travel to Bali without spending a fortune, let me tell you that it’s possible, and I’m going to share how and the best places to enjoy your trip.

Ubud

Ubud is a famous destination in Bali, known for its calmness, yoga retreats, the monkey forest, and beautiful waterfalls. I would say that three days is enough since Ubud is relatively small. You won’t have any trouble finding cheap restaurants, and all the attractions are very affordable. Most waterfalls cost less than 💰Price:$2.

Canggu

Canggu is even more touristy, great for surfing, has the best nightlife, and nice beaches. Also, three days is enough since you’ll be able to see everything. In Canggu, the prices are a bit higher than in Ubud. Not too much, but you’ll certainly notice the differences. I recommend eating at local places instead of the aesthetic restaurants because it will impact the final bill.

Gili Islands

The Gili Islands were my favorite destination on my trip to Bali. There are three islands right next to each other, and they are paradisiacal, relaxing, and very affordable. It’s perfect for spending a few days enjoying the sun by the beach. I recommend staying at Gili Air because it is more affordable and you can always take the speed boat for 💰Price:$5 to explore the other two islands during the day.

Nusa Islands

The Nusa Islands are currently more touristy than the Gili Islands, so expect more tourists and higher prices. However, they are definitely worth visiting because they are beautiful. I recommend staying in a bungalow for around 💰Price:$10 a night next to the beach instead of a hotel. It’s a much better experience, in my opinion.

And if you’re into water activities, I recommend going for a dive to swim with whales and mantas, as it’s very affordable compared to other countries. I paid 💰Price:$45, and it was epic.
