How I started Traveling At 18 & How You Can Too ✈️

I’ve been traveling the world since I turned 18, and this is how I managed to support my travel experiences and how you can too:

Working & Saving💸

As soon as I turned 18, I got two jobs to earn as much money as possible. I worked for an entire year and spent 50% of that money traveling to countries near mine (so the plane tickets were more affordable), while saving the other 50% for future travels. By saving so much money for one year, I managed to quit my jobs and travel a bit farther without having to work for almost eight months.

Volunteering 👩🏻‍🏫

This is a great way to cut a lot of your travel expenses. I volunteered at hotels as a tour guide and party promoter, and in schools as an English teacher, which provided me with free accommodation, three meals a day, and free tours.

Working Abroad 👩🏻‍🍳

Just like I did in my home country, I managed to get a job abroad. In my case, I moved to London, using my savings to cover the first few months until I found a job that would support my lifestyle there. You can do this in almost every country, as long as you have a working visa.

Babysitting 👩‍👧

I discovered this job opportunity online at a website called “Au Pair” and managed to travel to Greece and Italy as a babysitter. The family covers my travel expenses and provides a small salary for looking after their kids. And when they travel, I go too.
