Here’s a list of a few budget friendly destinations for you to add to your travel bucket list ✈️

Colombia

Colombia is such a vibrant country, full of life, good music, and tasty food. I was paying around 💰Price:$6 per meal and $14 a night for a hotel room. The best way to travel in the city is by "colectivo." It’s a small bus that operates like a shared cab. You pay 💰Price:$3 for each ride, and the driver will stop where you ask.

Brazil

Even though it’s getting more expensive every year, Brazil is definitely a destination where your money can go far. I recommend staying in less touristy places like Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, and Jericoacoara. It’s not only cheaper but also safer.

I was paying around 💰Price:$15 a day, for all my meals and snacks. You’ll get addicted to “Água de Coco” 🥥 and it only costs $1 on the beach.

Mexico

Tacos for 💰Price:$1, Coconut water on the beach for 💰Price:$2 and delicious quesadillas for 💰Price:$4. Mexico is the perfect destination for a budget bougie traveler. You can go to Cancun and Playa del Carmen for a more affordable lifestyle or to Tulum and Holbox if you want a bit more luxury. Either way, it will still be cheap.

Peru

Peru was on my bucket list for so long, and it was worth the wait. It’s not as super cheap as other countries in South America, but it’s still affordable. My favorite part of the trip was visiting Machu Picchu and seeing alpacas. Food and accommodation are cheap in Peru, but attractions and tours can increase your costs, so I recommend organizing and buying everything yourself instead of having a travel agency doing it for you. That way, you’ll be able to save and spend less.
