I was over in Penang the last couple of days and here are some notable mentions!

📍Boston Coffee ☕️

On our last day, we decided to check out the spot right across from our hotel for breakfast, and wow, were we surprised! I’m not usually a fan of peanut butter, but their PB French toast was amazing. Plus, the iced coffee was a hit with both of us!

We loved the place and food so much that we returned for lunch the very same day! Unfortunately, the classic tiramisu was unavailable, but the Earl Grey tiramisu we tried instead did not disappoint. Seriously, I could eat here three times a day!

📍 Woong Kee Beancurd ♥️

Stumbled upon this GEM while exploring the area and saw tourists lining up outside. My partner and I had to try it, and wow, hands down the ✨BEST beancurd✨ I’ve ever had! It was so airy and light, perfectly crafted. We went for the regular white sugar syrup, and it was just the right amount of sweetness. Can’t wait to come back for more!

📍 Ciao Gelato 🍦

We tried the Oolong Gelato and Strawberry Sorbet. I’m not a big fan of milk, so the Oolong Gelato wasn’t my favorite, but my partner thought it was pretty good, describing it as “very earthy with a clean, smooth taste.”

On the other hand, I liked the Strawberry Sorbet! The texture was spot-on, and it had the perfect level of tartness for my taste.

📍Hin Bus Depot 🎸

If you're looking for a great weekend outing, check out the themed flea markets! We visited the “Fashion” theme, featuring an array of jewelry, clothes, bags, and accessories. While it felt a bit small-scale, the atmosphere was lively, especially with the live performances going on. Definitely a fun experience for the weekends!!

📍 Sixth Sense 👗

I like the aesthetics and vibes of this store! The clothes looked like they were of pretty decent quality, and they even let you try them on. The staff is super friendly too! Definitely worth a visit!

📍 Penang Hill ⛰️🌄

Woke up at 5:30 AM to catch the first funicular train up to Penang Hill for the sunrise! Unfortunately, clouds covered the sun that day, so we missed the view. My partner and I explored the area and grabbed breakfast at Kota Penang Hill before heading to the Habitat. While there isn’t a ton to see, I personally love walking these trails.

Tip: Do pre-book your tickets online to skip the wait, and don’t forget the sunscreen!
