I’ve been waiting for this moment as long as I can remember.. let’s talk about it🥹.

one of my favorite things about me, is my culture! Quick back story: my mom and dad are both from a small country called Guyana 🇬🇾, in South America!

The country is rich with culture, foods, and especially music! The most popular genre there is Reggae and all the categories that fall under it! (Soca, Dancehall, etc)

in August, I got to see one of my favoriteeee reggae artists of all time: Beres Hammond😭. Growing up listening to his music, shaped my music taste and allowed me to stay connected to my background, in an environment where is wasn’t common. His music reminds me of all the childhood bbqs and spending time with the fam! If you know anything about me, that’s super important.

Getting to see him perform live was amazing! Beres Hammond is older, so I’m happy I got to see him while he is still touring. My cousins, aunts, and uncles went to the concert as well! so it meant that much more 🫶🏽.
