Here’s a friendly reminder that RESTING is productive and essential for your overall health! 😴 So if you happened to come across this post, I hope you know that you are WORTHY of resting, re-charging and slowing down ✨
Here are some ways that I enjoy resting so that I don’t burn-out:
1. Trying my best to get a full night’s sleep: a full night’s sleep looks different for everyone. But i tend to get around 7-8 hours of sleep almost every night. It’s not always easy but if I eliminate the night time scrolling and have a relaxing night time routine, I always feel the best version of myself in the morning!
2. Connecting to my spirituality and faith: Lately, I’ve been talking to God and it may sound cliche, but I’ve never been more at peace. It was not until I truly valued rest that I finally felt the peace that God wants for me. So if you are in need of resting, try connecting to God, your soul, or whatever you believe. And I promise, you’ll start to feel a new kind of peace ☮️
3. Low impact movement: Even though I am in my fitness era, there are times that my body still needs rest and recovery, especially if I am building more muscle. Listen to your body!
