Essentially, I started going with a friend for a week consistently. She preferred just to walk on the treadmill, but I’ve always been one who likes lifting. I wake up in the morning and think about what I’m going to do at the gym, and it’s the healthiest addiction I’ve had! 🪴☁️

Here’s how I did it:

1. Just go. Force yourself to go almost everyday. You feel so much better after.👟

2. Start small. Walk on the treadmill the first day and scope out your surroundings. What are others doing? What time is it the most busy? Where is the equipment you want to use? 🛩️

3. In my gym, there’s an area with three adjustable benches and dumbbells. I began lifting small there, staying in one spot made me feel more comfortable. Find one or two spots and get comfortable with them before branching out! 🏡

4. No one cares!! Your form isn’t great? Probably, no one will tell you. Everyone is so busy doing their own thing they aren’t worried about you. It’s hard to overcome this anxiety at first, but the more you go, the easier it is to realize. ‼️

5. When you work out, your body releases several beneficial hormones and chemicals, including endorphins, dopamine, serotonin, adrenaline, and growth hormone. These substances enhance mood, reduce pain, increase alertness, improve cardiovascular health, and promote muscle growth and repair. Regular exercise boosts your physical and mental well-being, helping to manage stress, anxiety, and depression while improving overall health and energy levels. It makes me feel so good! 💊
