Let’s talk…My Review of Barbie 💅🏻

This movie has been receiving many mixed reviews lately and I am here with my personal review.

What I rate it: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I personally LOVED it! I thought it was funny and also talked about real issues. The costume design was on point and Barbieland is everything I hoped it would be. I think they rated it correctly (PG-13) because there were some jokes that I think preteens to adults would only understand and laugh at. I personally don’t think little ones would find the movie too interesting in my opinion. Barbie had our whole theater (and it was full) laughing, gasping, and crying. It was really good and I wanna watch it again.

💅🏻 Let’s start with the cast: 💅🏻

Margot Robbie is the perfect Barbie! First off I’m a huge fan of Margot Robbie and she slays every role. I just think she did a great job overall. She was so funny and for the serious parts she delivered! I was a little skeptical about Ryan Gosling as Ken but holy crap he did great! He was freaking hilarious and perfect for the role! There were so many characters and I think that the casting department did an excellent job! They all did great!

Special shout out to America’s monologue. Top tier!🫶🏻

💅🏻 Now on to the Storytelling: 💅🏻

It wasn’t anything that I expected if I am being honest and I kinda love that. I don’t want to say too much so that I don’t spoil anything. But it progresses perfectly and it is overall great. I’m personally a feminist and it was such a woman empowerment movie. And for reference I went with my younger siblings (13 year old boy and girl) and my mom. Even my little brother really enjoyed it. Also the Ken song was so funny and honestly there were some parts that made me sympathize with ken.

💗 Anywho I loved it. I know that some people don’t care for it but everyone’s justified to their own opinions. All I gotta say is to not hate on people for liking or not liking it. I do say give it a shot but also be cautious taking kids younger than 13.
