Quick and Healthy Shrimp Stir Fry with Tender Broccoli in a Savory Garlic Sauce

Ingredients:

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 cups fresh broccoli florets

2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon honey

1/4 cup chicken broth

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 tablespoon sesame oil (for finishing)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Directions:

Prepare the Sauce:

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, rice vinegar, honey, chicken broth, red pepper flakes (if using), and ground black pepper. Set aside.

Cook the Shrimp:

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Stir Fry the Broccoli:

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the broccoli florets and stir fry for 4-5 minutes, or until they are tender but still crisp.

Combine Shrimp and Sauce:

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet. Pour the prepared garlic sauce over the shrimp and broccoli. Toss everything together to coat evenly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and the ingredients are heated through.

Serve and Garnish:

Drizzle the finished stir fry with sesame oil and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
