Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

12 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package instructions

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup white wine or chicken broth

1 lemon, zest and juice

2 cups ricotta cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

2 cups heavy cream

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Lasagna Noodles:

Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and lay them flat on a baking sheet to prevent sticking. Set aside.

Prepare the Garlic Butter Shrimp:

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add shrimp, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Stir in white wine (or broth), lemon zest, and juice. Cook for 2 more minutes. Remove shrimp and set aside.

Make the Creamy Sauce:

In the same skillet, add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Stir in Italian seasoning, Parmesan cheese, and half of the mozzarella. Cook until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Assemble the Lasagna:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread a thin layer of creamy sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Layer with noodles, ricotta, garlic butter shrimp, creamy sauce, and mozzarella. Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with noodles topped with remaining sauce and mozzarella.

Bake the Lasagna:

Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the top is golden brown and bubbly.

Serve and Garnish:

Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese. Add a lemon wedge for a tangy burst.
