Pros & Cons For Our First Home!

Took our key on Sep23 but we only decided to start our renovation in Mar 2024. Had a hard time finding an ID that match to our liking and budget as most of the ID charged us almost 50k - 70k based on the design that we want. At last we met with our current ID from Interior Times which is also my friend! We was charged at 35k plus minus as we did alot carpentry work and not much hacking.

Will show up the design in the future once done 😂 But there is quite abit of pros and cons when getting an ID.

Pros:

👍🏻 Doesnt need to settle much of the design

👍🏻 You can tell them how you wanna your home to be and lots of choices to choose from!

👍🏻 Doesnt need to follow up much as our ID help us settle it as long as we buy the equipment for them to do the labour job.

👍🏻 They will help you choose what kind of material is good and suitable for your home

👍🏻 They will liase w your electrician/aircon

👍🏻 Most of the time I'm like throwing all my problems and give my ID settle it for me.

👎🏻 Need to find your own electrian if you think that their electrician is too expensive

👎🏻 You need to pay 40% deposit in order for them to start work. We paid 16k in order to start our renovation going. If you thinking of getting bank loan you need to do it at least 1 month before!

👎🏻 Gonna source for your own lighting/fan if you wanna budget instead of letting your ID do the job which might cost slightly higher. We gotten our ceiling fan and lights from JB! (Will share the location once we bought it.)

👎🏻 Source for your own appliances and stuff you need to buy before you ask them to start work else you wont have enough time for the delivery

Maybe just like that first!

Will share more where I buy most of my stuff once is done!
