my mom taught me this delish and simple way to prep heirloom tomatoes recently, and I won’t be doing it any other way from here on out. it is truly a must make!! if you love tomatoes and are looking for a fresh, new side dish to try this summer… save this post :)

what you need:

fresh and ripe heirloom tomatoes

capers

fresh garlic

parsley

olive oil

salt and pepper

(no exact measurements needed for this recipe!)

how to make:

slice your ripe heirloom tomatoes into thick slices. then, finely chop your fresh garlic and parsley. sprinkle your garlic and parsley over the tomato slices. then generously drizzle the plate in olive oil. finally, add your capers and season with salt and pepper.

either enjoy these alone as a snack, or add them as a side dish to your meal! I recently had mine on avocado toast and it was delish… totally recommend giving these a try 🤩
