Sidetrack from my Vietnam trip posting, I went to Batam during the long weekend and I can’t wait to share this #hiddengem I found. Veranta café is a well-known café among the locals and my Indonesian cousin brought me to this café to chill.

The café is huge and gives off a Balinese resort vibe with the use of bamboo furniture and thatched roof. There's even a giant swing available to ride at an additional cost of 50,000 IDR about 4.5 SGD, without needing to fly to Bali for that photo opportunity. Mini swings can be found in the kid playground which can be a cute photo spot too. There are several photo spots for you to take some aesthetic Bali-inspired photos as well.

We ordered some fries and calamari for 11,000 IDR about 10 SGD. If you visit here, you must order the avocado drink that comes with a mini magnum for 5,000 IDR about 4.5 SGD. It was damn bombz !

However, I must say this café is pretty secluded, it's 70km away from the city center around 1hr 30 mins car ride to reach the cafe. We hired a private driver to bring us around the island on that day, highly suggest that you do the same if you plan on visiting the café. Overall, the café is a pretty aesthetic place to chill away from the city overlooking the ocean.☺️
