today i will be talking about my holy grail skincare products that i’ve incorporated to get rid of the acne i got 😌

i first started getting baddd acne after trying snail mucin and i made my acne worst by constantly using skincare products with actives such as salicylic acid and it just ruined my skin barrier completely 🫠🫠 soooo i took things into my own hands and did further research on products that could help me repair my skin barrier! my skin isn’t perfect as i still have some slight dark spots left but it is wayyyyy better than before

❗️i have oily sensitive skin

1. roundlab 1025 dokdo cleanser

i bought this cleanser when i was in korea because i ran out of cleanser halfway during my trip and i heard good reviews about it on tiktok so i had to try it. this cleanser is superrr gentle on my skin and it does remove dirt and impurities quite well.

✅ gentle on all skin types

✅ unscented

✅ creamy, foamy-like consistency

❌ was a little drying in drier climates (during winter)

2. torriden balanceful serum

i heard many people raving about the blue dive in serum but no one is talking about this serum instead!! it contains centella asiatic which is especially suitable for oily and acne prone skin. it helps to soothe inflammation, reduces redness and overall, supports the skin barrier. i believe this was the product that actually helped to calm my skin down a lottttt and this is the third bottle i am using 😳

3. la roche posay cicaplast baume b5+

this cream is also amazingggg for soothing redness and moisturising the skin at the same time. however, this cream is slightly thicker and i heard people saying that it may clog your pores instead. so, what i do is i use just a pea size amount and dab thin layers into each section of my face, focusing more on my cheeks as i usually get acne there the most. this works well for me especially to calm down any acne i may get 🤩🤩

❌ may be too thick

4. melano cc intensive anti-spot treatment

this almost water-like essence contains vitamin c which helps to brighten and fade dark spots that you may get from acne. i usually only use this in the morning as vitamin c works hand in hand with spf. after cleansing, i go in with a small amount of this essence on my dark spots before going in with moisturiser and sunscreen. this essence definitely does lighten my dark spots at a faster rate and sometimes, even brings some of my pimples to a whitehead 😮

❌ vitamin c may be too harsh for some

5. mediheal teatree trouble pad

ONE OF MY FAV TONER PADS!!! 🤍 i use this almost everyday (alternating between this and the madecassoside ones) after cleansing and i know my skin lovessssssss it. this teatree one is suitable for acne prone skin as teatree has anti-inflammatory benefits to calm redness and inflammation. i place the toner pads on my cheeks after cleansing and leave it on for about 10 mins before wiping across my whole face to prep my skin for my skincare routine. it is soooo gentle and moisturising and it really does calm my face down 🥹🥹
