3 concerts this year!! & where to park 👀

helloooo againnn :)

this time im going to be talking about the concerts we have been to so far this year together 🎶

so we all know that this year has been the year of concerts because sg has been bringing in many global artists and we were both fortunate enough to attend 3 out of the many this year.

our 1st concert:

ed sheeran the mathematics tour on the 16th of feb!

this was our first ever concert together and my bf’s first ever concert in his life 😳 and of course he was the one that wanted to attend ed sheeran as he was a huge fan. my bf wanted to get the floor seats so it was a little more pricey but he paid for both of us 🤭. the view was great but i had to raise my phone up quite high to take videos and pictures since everyone’s seats were of the same level and im quite short 😭🥲. the best moment of this concert would be JJ LIN APPEARING as the guest star and everyone was so shocked when they both started JJ’s song 🫣. overall, ed is a superb performer and his setlist consisted of many songs throughout his albums. we also managed to catch calum scott as the opener 😌.

our 2nd concert:

taylor swift the eras tour on the 2nd of march!!!

at first i didnt manage to get a single ticket on any of the presales and i was devastated when the eras tour was coming up ☹️☹️ BUT, the night before day 1 of the eras tour, ticketmaster opened up some new sections of restricted view seats and my bestie managed to get a pair of tickets at like 1am and I HAD TO SAY YES and thank you for securing us last min tickets 😭❤️. so since i was the one that wanted to go for this concert badly, i paid for the both of us instead. honestly, taylor’s concert was one of the best concerts i have been to as it was super engaging and i can assure u the vibes of the audience was so different as compared to ed sheeran’s. everyone was singing at the top of their lungs when taylor first came out and i was so overwhelmed i nearly cried 🥹. our seats werent the best as we couldnt see the main screen but occasionally, my camera managed to zoom 15x and i could see her better. bonus was that we got to watch sabrina carpenter for the opening as well 🥰.

our 3rd concert:

bruno mars live in singapore on the 5th of april!!

having been a fan of his songs since secondary school, i just had to attend his concert and my bf wanted to go as well. so i managed to secure tickets during the livenatiln presale and this time i thought, why not we try going for the standing pen instead as i knew we were going to dance and vibe along but i didnt want to rush for the barricades as well. frankly speaking, both of us agreed that we will not go for standing pen again cause we are both TOO SHORT and standing for 2 hours plus hurt my back 🫠🫠. overall, his setlist was the shortest out of the 3 concerts we have been to and he was even late for almost 30 mins 😮. it was still superrrr fun to bop to his songs and sing our hearts out for his songs.

where to park 🚗????

as my bf drives whenever we go for concerts at the national stadium, we will park at the Decathlon Singapore Lab (Kallang), which is a mere 10 min walk away from national stadium and indoor stadium. the last slide shows where it is, and the red line is how we usually walk to and fro to the National Stadium! there is a KFC and a McDonalds besides Decathlon so u can eat before or after a concert! we like to park here as u won’t be caught in the jam when u exit the carpark as there are multiple exits and walking 10 mins is still shorter than waiting to get out of a jam 🤭. however, the walk is not sheltered so do keep in mind if u want to bring ponchos or umbrellas (check if umbrellas are permitted for the concert as well).

price for parking is $0.60 per 30 mins.

another mini tip is me and my bf always go to concerts without a bag as the no bag check lane is always the fastest and we do not have much to bring with us anyways as the food and merch stands are cashless.
