Best Halal Mala Dethroned?!

It has only been a couple days since my last halal mala post, and another contender is here?! Well, my friend recommended this and dragged me all the way to the east for this. So is this really worth it?

The first thing that caught my attention is that it has more than just mala - you have the grilled fish chong qing style, chinese side dishes that you sometimes see at the mala places. This is definitely a plus in my books! 💯

Now back to the mala! A wide selection for sure. For me the special thing here is that they have all sorts of noodles for you to choose from. I picked the instant noodles and also the handmade noodles. The handmade noodles are springy and flavourful, especially after soaking up all that mala goodness in the bowl. Which brings me to perhaps the most important part - the SPICY LEVELS 🌶️🔥. It starts from a little spicy to GHOST PEPPER SPICY 👻🔥💀. My friends and I just went for very spicy so that we can still drive home safely 😅. Kid you not, it is still very spicy, and you can imagine how the handmade noodles taste when all that spice got soaked up 🥵.

Is it better than Da Jie's Mala? Honestly, they are on par and each has its own selling point. Da Jie also has yong tau foo and chicken rice, while Monster Chili has grilled fished and other chinese dishes. If you stay in the east, do give this a try and let me know if this place can become your new favourite ❤️
