how to lean into trends and stay original

I’m a loyal to slow fashion and sustainable living - but I have a love for expression through my outfits/styling. Therefore, I’m selective when it comes to following trends. I’m not above them, but I want to lean into trends that mesh with my existing wardrobe and that I can invest in long term.

One of the trends being this maxi denim skirt that we’re all seeing and pinning. I find myself loving a lot of inspo pics with pairing pieces that are already staples in my closet (knee high boots, basic tops, leather jacket), so it would be very complimentary to wardrobe.

SO, the denim maxi skirt has officially been added to my thrifting/vintage wish list - and, who knows, if I can’t find the right one second hand, maybe I will invest in a good quality new one!
