Full disclosure: I lived with a roommate for three semesters and just recently moved into a single dorm. I love my roommate very much and we created quite an amazing bond throughout the time we lived together. The reason I left was because I was struggling with my own mental health and needed a place to escape to that I knew I would be alone. For my freshman year, I absolutely loved living with someone else, but when my anxiety started flaring up, I used these tips to keep my anxiety in check while being a good roommate.
