The more I get closer to God the less I desire secular music. Artists I grew up listening to I just have no desire for anymore. I love me a good Kirk Franklin song but I need something I can get jiggy to lbs! These are just a few songs I’ve discovered that get plays outta me all day.

Freshy- Scootie Wop

•••He had no business going in on this song the way he did. The beat was really what got me, this is one of those feel good driving on the highway full blast windows down songs. Just good vibes all around

King Jesus- Kb

••• This is the remix so definitely go listen to the original cuz that one is on this playlist as well. This remix though was so raw. One key thing to highlight is the different cultures brought together on this track like they came in like the United Nations lol. Then it was just bar after bar after bar. They understood the assignment

Flex- Gabriel

•••I feel like he’s such an underrated Christian rapper, I found him on tiktok and his music is so amazing and is really what got me into Christian rap. If you’re into wordplay this is definitely the artist for you. I struggled so hard picking out a lyric that stuck out cuz the whole song really just hit.

Cuttin Up- Caleb Gordon & Alano Adan

••• They put out a whole Ep that I encourage you guys to go a listen to. There’s just no way you don’t like it. Caleb Gordon is really becoming a favorite of mines because of how Christ centered his lyrics are and I feel like he, as well as a few others, are breaking the stigma around Christian music being automatically horrible. This was my first time hearing Alano Adan and I really love is style of music too it’s so fun and he is really is talented when It comes to painting a picture lyrically

Save Us- Lecrae 1k Phew & Hulvey

••• Now this is definitely what I call dread head music…just a lil sanctified. Lecrae has been a household name in black Christian homes for a long time. He was on when nobody else was on and to see him doing a joint album with the newer generation of Christian artists was absolutely amazing. I’ve seen so many sides lyrically to him and this whole album was a hit. It’s not many that I just press play on and listen to the whole thing through and through but this one?! Oh it definitely got them plays out of me. The ending to this song is soo raw like it’s so many different styles converging and if you ain’t heard of Hulvey definitely take this opportunity to listen and dive deeper into his songs. I promise you won’t regret it.
