From things to do, to day trips and hidden gems - I’ve got you covered on your trip to the Emerald Isle💚
Must-see’s:
Dublin Castle - you can either walk around the outdoor grounds yourself, or pay for a ticket which includes access to the interior grounds and a guided tour
St Patrick's Cathedral - you can enter the inside of the church, but unfortunately it’s not free (~6-7€)
Ha'penny Bridge - an iconic bridge and symbol of the city
Grafton Street - lively street with lots of shops and street performers
Merchant's Arch - Irish pub with a very cool spiral staircase hiding in the back
Samuel Beckett Bridge - unique bridge that resembles a harp
Hidden Gems:
George's Street Arcade - this cute indoor shopping plaza dating back to the 1880’s (one of Europe’s oldest city markets!) has a mix of food, clothes, handmade goods, antiques and more!
The Celt - lively Irish pub with great music and delicious traditional food
Powerscourt Townhouse Centre - unique indoor mall with a garden in the center courtyard
Day trips:
Cliffs of Moher - a very popular day trip from the city, absolutely worth seeing!
📍Galway - about a 2 hour bus ride from Dublin sites the charming coastal town of Galway. Transportation to and from is very easy.
Places that aren’t worth the hype (in my opinion):
❌Temple Bar - cool to see the popular landmark from the outside, but if you want a drink there, be prepared to empty out your wallet
❌Molly Malone statue - again, cool to see but not incredibly special, no need to go out of your way
