Here's your answer - Butterscotch Pear Crisp!
With paper thin skins, butterscotch (also called Korean or Asian) pears might just be the juiciest pear you’ve ever eaten.
Easy, and delish its the healthy dessert you need in 2024!
Butterscotch (Korean) Pear Crisp
Serves 6
For the Crumble:
2/3 cup almond flour
4 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 tsp cinnamon
dash of salt
For the Pears:
2 tbsp unsalted butter
3 Butterscotch pears, sliced
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1-1/2 tbsp brandy
Vanilla ice cream and whipped cream for serving, if desired (or try frozen yogurt)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350deg F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
2. In a medium bowl add the almond flour, brown sugar, chopped pecan, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt.
3. Transfer to the lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown.
4. Over medium-low heat, melt butter in a skillet, add sliced pears and stir. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, and brandy, stir.
5. Cook on medium-low for 8-10 minutes.
6. Remove from heat and transfer to serving dishes.
7. Top the pears with the baked crumble.
8. Top with ice cream and whipped cream, as desired.
9. Place leftovers in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
