Postpartum secrets 🤫

So much goes on during the postpartum time! And everyone’s experience can be so different! This is my 3rd postpartum and each of them have all had their own differences.

Here are a few things that I’ve been focused on and thinking about this postpartum that I don’t hear a lot of people talk about so I wanted to share!

-When your milk comes in, a lot of the engorgement is actually blood and lymph fluid not milk! I had no idea this was true and this is my 3rd time breastfeeding! It makes so much sense though because your milk is actually made from your blood!

-If you have trouble resting when the baby sleeps- try nursing in side lying position in bed so you can also fall asleep! I’m so thankful for my lactation consultant that taught me this in the hospital! I really feel like it changed my whole postpartum experience!
